Dr. Mark A. Pierce, D.C., B.C.A.O., Clinic Director/Owner

Dr. Mark Pierce is a Jacksonville Chiropractor who serves Jacksonville and the surrounding communities in FL. Dr. Pierce is one of only 14 Board Certified Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractors in the state of Florida and has been in practice for 27 years.

Dr. Mark Pierce graduated from Life University in 1989 where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Pierce is a 4th generation chiropractor and began his chiropractic career under the direction of his father, Dr. Burton A. Pierce Jr. at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. Throughout his time at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Pierce became a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor and Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. 

Dr. Pierce became heavily involved in the local sports community becoming Team Chiropractor for the Jacksonville Bullets Professional Hockey team, Jacksonville Lizard Kings Professional Hockey team, Jacksonville Barracudas Professional Basketball team, Jacksonville Suns Professional Baseball team, Jacksonville Cyclones Professional Soccer team, and Jacksonville Barracudas Professional Hockey team. Currently, Dr. Pierce is the Official Team Chiropractor for the Jacksonville Armada, Jacksonville's newest Professional Soccer Team.

In March of 2000, Dr. Pierce opened his first practice, Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic which he expanded in March of 2013 to Physical Healthcare of Jacksonville. Dr. Pierce made the decision to expand his practice in an effort for his patients to receive the best of, not only chiropractic, but medical and rehabilitation services as well. Dr. Pierce combined the components of medicine he felt best complemented chiropractic without compromising his holistic approach to healthcare.

Dr. Wayne B. Houston, M.D., Medical Director

Dr. Wayne B. Houston brings over 30 years of both, Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine experience, as well as, Board Certification in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine to Physical Healthcare of Jacksonville.

Dr. Houston received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 1980 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Houston attended medical school at the University Of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and completed his studies at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Houston began his residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

Over his 32 year career in healthcare, Dr. Houston has obtained certifications and memberships to the:

·         St. John’s County Medical Society

·         American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians

·         American Board of Independent Medical Examiners

Dr. Deborah M. Fralicker, D. C., ARN-p, Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Matthew D. Pierce, D.C., Chiropractor

Dr. Matthew D. Pierce graduated from Life University in 1991 where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Matt Pierce is a 4th generation chiropractor and began his chiropractic career alongside his brother Dr. Mark A. Pierce under the direction of their father, Dr. Burton A. Pierce Jr. at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. Throughout his time at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Matt Pierce was a pivotal part of integrating their practice to Superior Physical Medicine in 2013.

Upon his Father’s retirement, Dr. Matt Pierce joined the team at Physical Healthcare of Jacksonville in 2016 under the direction of his brother Dr. Mark Pierce and brought with him over 26 years of chiropractic experience specializing in Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic.

Mansi K. Galvankar, PT, MPT, Physical Therapist

Mansi K. Galvankar, PT, MPT is our resident Physical Therapist. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2010 from Sancheti Institute and then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in 2013 from Manipal University, India with majors in Community Rehabilitation and Occupational Health. Through her clinical background, she has gained professional experience and expertise in treating a variety of orthopedic, neurological, cardio-pulmonary, pediatric and geriatric conditions.

Mansi is published in the journal of Critical Reviews™ in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine in 2012. She is a certified BLS provider and has keen interest in updating and implementing sound knowledge and skills to evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions for both the adult and geriatric population. Because of her kind and considerate nature towards helping others she has stepped into the field of Physical Therapy and wishes to strive for the betterment of her patients by being part of a team of professionals with similar goals.

Kyle S. Jackson, Case Manager

Kyle Jackson graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Kyle also played football for the University from 2004-2008 and was a member of the 2006 National Championship team. During his football career, He sustained a career ending back injury in 2006 that required surgery and thus was informed he would never play football again. However, He opted out of surgery and began chiropractic treatment with Dr. Mark Pierce at Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic. Kyle, not only healed from his injury with chiropractic care, but he went on to play the game he loved and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Professional football team after graduating from the University of Florida.

After his football career came to a close, He was so intrigued by the miraculous healing he had experienced from chiropractic that he enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2009. He graduated in December of 2012 receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic. While in Chiropractic College, Kyle also received specific training in sports therapy, which allowed him to attend sporting events around the city and perform chiropractic treatments and therapies on participating athletes. After graduation, he began his chiropractic career where he received his first chiropractic adjustment, Mark Pierce Chiropractic Clinic which has expanded to Physical Healthcare of Jacksonville.
